MassIT Internship Opportunities in Suffolk University!
On March 8th 2016, the Massachusetts Office of Information Technology (MassIT) was in campus for a recruiting event organized by Suffolk University Information System and Operation Management (ISOM) club. This event was attended by majors in Entrepreneurship, Finance, Accounting and more. During this summer, MassIT will be offering various internship opportunities for Suffolk University students and it will be open for students across all fields of study. During the event, MassIT recruiter, Mr. Richard C. De la Zerda, gave a brief presentation regarding the department and his experience in MassIT. Richard is currently one of the recruitment assistants at MassIT and he is also personally a Suffolk University alumni. It was understood that MassIT currently has a high job placement rate which explains why it has been known as one of the most popular internship options among university undergraduates. Throughout these past few years, MassIT staff have been working closely with the Suffolk University ISOM club in spreading their recruitment activities to our Suffolk Business students, encouraging them to experience how it feels to work for Massachusetts government.
“Working at the Massachusetts Office of Information Technology (MassIT) has been a great experience. I am currently interning for the Office of Municipal and School Technology, working on several initiatives. In every department there are a variety of high visibility projects to work on. It is also not uncommon to interact with executives from well known organizations, which can help strengthen one’s network. Overall, I have found my time at MassIT to be full of opportunities,” said Amelia, currently an ISOM major at Suffolk. She will be graduating this May.
